“The Wine of Moldova” (Vinul Moldovei) won 43 gold and silver medals at the International Wine Contest in Romania. Winemakers from 45 countries participated at the contest and more than 1000 samples were tasted by an international jury.<\/p>\n

“I am very proud that the wine of Moldova is appreciated worldwide and this confirms that our wines correspond to high standards. We would surely have won more medals, if the rules did offer the prizes only to 30% of the wines”, declared Dumitru Munteanu, the chief of the National Office of Wine.<\/p>\n

With the total 161 samples of wine, the Moldovan wines were represented by local wines, international ones, champagne, desert wines and cognacs. The jury offered 26 gold medals and 17 silver medals to the wines from the Republic of Moldova, 3 times more than previous year.<\/p>\n

The International Wine Contest from Romania 2015 is at the 12 edition and is organized by ASER Wineconsulting in partnership with Romania’s Office of Wine, under the patronage of the International Organization of Wine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
