The Border Police and the Information and Security Service have detained a young man, aged 21, at the Chi\u0219in\u0103u International Airport, while checking passengers on the Moscow-Chi\u0219in\u0103u flight. While checking the luggage, the police found military equipment and documents which confirm the Ukrainian’s participation in the military cinflict in eastern Ukraine. He was to arrive in Transnistria.<\/p>\n

The person was not allowed in Moldova and he was extradited to the Security Service of Ukraine, which identified him as “Akademik”, one of the commanders of the terrorist group “Somali”. Detained militant, a resident of Odessa, received a special training last summer under the command of the GRU MO RF career servicemen on the territory of the one of facilities in the area of Makiivka of Donetsk region. The sham officer rank \u201csenior lieutenant\u201d was awarded to him after the completion of the training.
\nThe militant was a commander of the militants\u2019 battery within his terrorist group, known as \u201cGivi\u201d group from August 2014 to May 2015. He directly conducted shooting and fire regulation on the ATO forces locations, which were deployed in the areas of Donetsk airport, r.p. Snizhne, Ilovaisk, Debaltseve and Avdiivka.
\nDuring the search the special services officials seized from the detained individual the passport of the citizen of Ukraine and documents, which prove his involvement into the combat operations in favor of the so-called \u201cDPR\u201d terrorists: \u201cthe ID of the senior lieutenant\u201d, the inquiry of the \u201cDPR\u201d \u201cministry of defense\u201d, that testifies the loss of the ID documents by \u201cAkademik\u201d in the results of the combat operations and \u201cthe liberty pass\u201d, signed by the leader of his terrorist group. The militant \u201cbrought along\u201d several sets of military uniform with the chevrons of the 1-st separate battalion and tactical group \u201cSomali\u201d and \u201cGivi\u201d group, the AF of the RF chevrons.<\/p>\n
