The World Economic Forum put Republic of Moldova on the 111th place in the world top and on the 37th place in the European top of travel and tourism competitiveness, within the Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report. Moldova is situated in the top between Venezuela and Senegal. The first places are taken Spain, France and Germany.<\/p>\n

The WEF<\/a> top is based on the evaluation of the factors that ensure the tourism development. In a scale from 1 to 7, Moldova has the best marks at “Health and Hygiene” (6,26), “Security” (5,43), “Price competitiveness” (4,80), “Human resources and Labor Market” (4,50) and the “Tech skills” (4,23).<\/p>\n

Medium marks were\u00a0achieved in the domain of “Business Sphere” (3,90 out of 7), “Tourism as Priority” (3,82), “Tourism Infrastructure” (3,29), “Land Infrastructure and Ports” (2,77).<\/p>\n

The worst ratings were given to “International Welcoming” (1,96), “Air Transport” (1,90), “Natural Resources” (1,75), “Cultural Resources and Business Tourism” (1,08).<\/p>\n
