Romanian President Klaus Iohannis said on Monday that Moldova made important progress on its path towards Europe during the five years since the signing of Declaration Strategic Partnership between Moldova and Romania.<\/p>\n

“On April 27, 2010, the Presidents of Romania and Moldova signed the Joint Declaration establishing a Partnership for Moldova’s European integration. Today, after five years, we see that Moldova has made important progress in reforming the society and adopting democratic values, thus moving closer towards the European Union”, reads a statement of the Romanian Presidency.<\/p>\n

Iohannis used the occasion to reconfirm that “Romania will continue to be a strong ally for Moldova’s European integration and its efforts to continue and fortify the reforms required in order to reach this objective”.<\/p>\n

“The current geopolitical developments strengthen our faith that the European path is Moldova’s only viable option for security and prosperity and Romania be by Moldova’s side on this road”, reads the statement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
