Authorities and the diplomatic service of Qatar, businessmen and journalists participated on Monday, 13 of April, at the inauguration of the Embassy of Moldova in Doha. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, Natalia Gherman, attended the event, being in an official visit in Qatar.<\/p>\n

After the event of opening, the Minister had a meeting with the community of Moldovans established in Qatar.<\/p>\n

On 14 of April, the chief of the Moldovan diplomacy discussed with the Minister of Education of Qatar and signed agreements of cooperation in the domain of education and research.<\/p>\n

Natalia Gherman also met with the President of Qatar Petroleum, one of the biggest fuel company from the Persian Gulf, and discussed the prospects of future cooperation in the energy domain.<\/p>\n

Moldova’s Embassy in Doha, Qatar is the only Moldovan diplomatic mission in the Arab states of the Gulf.<\/p>\n

The first Ambassador of Moldova in Qatar is Valeriu Tihonov.<\/p>\n
