Today the Appeal Court of Comrat has validated the results of the election of the governor of Gagauzia held on the 22d of March. Respectively Irina Vlah may be considered officially the new governor of the Gagauz autonomy.<\/p>\n\n

The chairman of Comrat Election Commission, Valentin Cara, specified in the court that during the electioncampaign and on the Election Day, candidates have filed 29 complaints, which relate to inaccuracies in the electoral lists and agitation on the Election Day.<\/p>\n\n

There were included 105,469 persons\u00a0in the voter lists,\u00a0but in elections\u00a064,033 persons\u00a0participated. A total of 359 ballots were declared invalid.<\/p>\n\n

Valentin Cara declared that infringements, including the loss of some ballots and voting stamps were not able to influence the election results as ballots were enough for all, who were present at the polling\u00a0stations.<\/p>\n\n

We remind that in the election of March 22, Irina Vlah has accumulated 32,543 votes, representing 51.11% of the total voters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
