New rules of entrance in Transnistria were approved by the separatist leader, Evgeny Shevchuk, and will be available since April 1 2015.<\/p>\n

The citizens of Russian Federation,\u00a0Moldova<\/strong>, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus will have the right to reside temporary in the region for 90 days, while the citizens from other countries will have the possibility to reside only for 45 days. The foreigners will enter the separatist region by the immigration card and by personal invitation.<\/p>\n

The maximum duration of temporary residence is 135 per year.<\/p>\n

The persons who will be willing to stay in Transnistria for one year will need to require permission from the separatist militia. Those who “threatened the security of the republic, financed terrorism, were deported in the last 5 years, were condemned for drug commerce, have STDs, including HIV” will be prohibited to obtain the residence.<\/p>\n

The new regulations also stipulate that the hotels need to announce the militia in 24 hours whenever they register foreign citizens.<\/p>\n

The representatives of international organizations, diplomatic missions, will need to ask for permission from the so-called Foreign Ministry of the region, in order to enter Transnistria.<\/p>\n

The new rules will affect 289 000 citizens of Moldova that have legit acts. They will need to apply for residence in Transnistria, even if they have been living in the region before it proclaimed itself as independent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
