The political parties from Moldova will be funded from the national budget beginning from 2016.<\/p>\n

The state will be able to pay 0,3% from the budget incomes for each elections year.<\/p>\n

The law of party financing was voted by the Parliament of Moldova on Thursday, 19 of March.<\/p>\n

According to the new law, 50% of the money will be shared between the Parliamentary parties and other 50% between the parties proportional to the performance registered in local elections.<\/p>\n

In the case of electoral blocks, the money will be shared according to the number of obtained mandates or after an agreement within the blocks.<\/p>\n

If the parties spend the money in a wrong way, they will be punished with fees of 60000-100000 lei or with prison for 1-5 years, including the banning of the party activity for 2-5 years.<\/p>\n

The law says that the people will be able to donate up 20 average salaries to a party, while the enterprises will be able to donate up to 40 average salaries for a campaign.<\/p>\n

There will be banned the financing, free services, any kind of aid from foreigners, authorities or international organizations.<\/p>\n

The law also says that any use of an image of foreign politicians is strictly prohibited.<\/p>\n

The electoral reform was expected for a long time because most of the ruling parties are funded by oligarchs like Vladimir Plahotniuc (PDM), Vlad Filat (PLDM), Oleg Voronin (PCRM) and others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
