A journalist and a public activist Sergey Ilchenko was detained for three days and he is in the Militia from Tiraspol.\u00a0 The \u00a0journalist’s son Nikolai Ilchenko announced about it on page in Facebook, who noted that the representatives of the region’s KGB conducted a search of their home and confiscated all the computers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Also, the press service of the KGB of Transnistria confirmed the detention of journalist, but there has been posted on its website the following message:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“On March 18, on the Internet anonymously there were distributed \u00a0some \u00a0information \u00a0messages, which contained the calls for an armed \u00a0overthrow of the legitimate authority in Transnistria and the armed confrontation with Russian Federation. Based on collected \u00a0materials by KGB PMR. Investigate Committee of \u201cPMR\u201d filed criminal charges under Article 276 Part 2 \u201cPublic calls for extremist activity\u201d of Criminal Code \u201cPMR\u201d, which involves deprivation of liberty up to 5 (five) years.<\/p>\n

In the evening of March 18 KGB “PMR” was established author of the above publications. It was an active participant of social networking Ilchenko Sergey E., born in 1959, a citizen of the “PMR”. After detention there were conducted the searches\u00a0at the apartments that belongs to S. Ilchenko.<\/p>\n

  1. Ilchenko was detained in accordance with Article 104 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the \u201cPMR\u201d conducted investigative actions stipulated by the legislation.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    We remind that the last month, Mr. Ilchenko also got into trouble because of the anti-government protests conducted against rising prices.
