Yesterday ex-prime minister Iurie Leanca visited Berlin where he had an informal meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. The discussion aimed both the current situation and the future of Moldova, and the political project, which Iurie Leanca intends to launch.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have told Mrs. Chancellor why I think that Germany and EU must keep on supporting the Republic of Moldova as vigorously as possible in retaliation, in spite of the incorrect evolution at the political arena. Yet I insisted this support to be conditioned on the reforming institution of law, to start the investigation of the real situation at BEM and the other two banks,\u201d ex-premier wrote on his page on Facebook.<\/p>\n

The deputy specified that in Berlin he met with several German politicians, both from the Bundestag and from\u00a0the Federal\u00a0Foreign<\/em>\u00a0Office, and with the representatives from Konrad Adenauer Foundation.<\/p>\n

In the discussions with German officials, I have found that there is a certain bewilderment and disappointment in connection with what happened in Moldova after the elections of 30 November and, unfortunately, it have grown a large distrust of pro-European parties after these negative evolutions and when pro-European electorate has not been respected,\u201d Iurie Leanca mentioned.<\/p>\n

Also, according to the official, the Moldovan political class will have to make considerable efforts in order to do not lose confidence of foreign partners definitely.<\/p>\n

Today Iurie Leanca is having meetings with officials in Brussels.<\/p>\n
