An exchange office from Ungheni, a city from the West of Moldova, was the target of a robbery on Sunday, 15 of March. The robber, a 27 years old man, retained by the police, attacked with a pistol the cashier and stole an amount of 421 572 Moldovan lei.<\/p>\n

According to the police, the attack took place on Sunday, at 6 pm, when an unknown man with a cap and with a medicinal mask, armed with a pistol, got into the exchange office from Ungheni and attacked the cashier, a 61 years old woman, by applying force.<\/p>\n

The young man took a shot right in the wall and stole the money from the safe. The suspect is now arrested and he has penal history.<\/p>\n

The suspect have been arrested for 72 hours and it is in detention. If his guilt is proved, he will be charged with prison for 12-15 years.<\/p>\n

Until now, the police doesn’t know anything about the money.<\/p>\n

This robbery is one of the three armed robberies that happened in Moldova in the last 10 months.\u00a0The first one occurred in May 2014 and implied four persons who stole 1,5 million lei and killed a cashier.
