Today Moldova commemorates 23 years of the Tranisnitrian armed conflict. During the day not only in Chisnau, but also there will be several commemorative actions in the territory of those who died in the conflict.<\/p>\n

The commemorative activities started in the morning. The government members, MPs, soldiers and veterans of the 1992 conflict lay flowers at the monument of Stephen the Great in the center of Chisinau and the memorial complex “Eternitate”.<\/p>\n

A rally were held at the memorial complex “Eternitate”, they laid flowers in memory of those killed in the war on the Dniester river. According to the agenda announced after the laying of flowers there followed a march of Memory. At 13:00, there were funeral repasts in all districts of the capital in the memory of fallen people who died during the war.<\/p>\n

Also on this occasion 185 people from Chisinau got a finical assistance of 1,000 lei.<\/p>\n

The financial support benefited the invalids and injured persons during the war, mothers and widows of those who died in the armed conflict in 1992.<\/p>\n

According to official data, in the armed conflict in 1992 had participated about 29,000 people, of which 386 have died and 284 were injured. In accordance with the decision of Parliament of 26 February 2010, the 2-d of March is called Memorial Day.<\/p>\n
