The difficult economic situation of the break-away region of Moldova would cause the process of solving the Transnistrian conflict, says Deutsche Welle<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The salaries are paid late, the prices in the region are increasing, the public transport became less affordable for pensioners, the medical services got more expensive and the financial aids are interrupted. The separatist administration from Tiraspol blames Moldova and Ukraine for “blocking” the region, while Russia refused<\/a> to offer financial aid, for the first time since 1992.<\/p>\n

The so-called deputy of Transnistria, Dmitry Soin, says that Moscow doesn’t agree with what the team of Evgeny Shevchuk, the leader of separatists, does during the crisis.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, the ex-Minister of Reintegration of Moldova, Vasile Sova thinks that the refusal is not linked with the economic crisis and that “$100 million dollars are not serious for an economy like Russia”.<\/p>\n

“In this way, the Russian authorities gave to Chisinau a signal to restart the constructive negotiations regarding the conflict”, said Sova.<\/p>\n
