The Parliament of Moldova finally voted its leadership on Friday, 23 of January, with the votes of the Liberal Democrat, Democrat and Communists’ Parties.<\/p>\n

The leader of Liberal Democrats, Vlad Filat, and the leader of Democrats, Marian Lupu, signed an agreement to form a coalition, excluding the Liberal Party. The so-called ”Alliance for the European Moldova”(AEM) asked all the Parliamentary parties to involve in the solving of the political crisis.<\/p>\n

Then it was found out that the only party that responded to the call was the Communists’ Party. The Communists participated in the process of voting the leadership of the Parliament.<\/p>\n

As the new Speaker of the Parliament, there has been elected Andrian Candu, the current Minister of Economy and the member of the Democrat Party. He is known as a close person of Vlad Plahotniuc, the businessman that was accused several times of doing raider attacks on banks and other financial crimes within and without Moldova.<\/p>\n

”I will try to be a President of the Parliament for all”, was the first statement of new Speaker.<\/p>\n

There were also elected Liliana Palihovici from Liberal Democrats and the Communist Vladimir Vitiuc as Vice-Presidents.<\/p>\n

The decision is based on 59 votes of the PLDM, PDM and the Communists’ Party, but the AEM cannot count every time on the help of the Communists. It will be seen when the Parliament has to elect the new Government (at least 51 votes out of 101).<\/p>\n

Mihai Ghimpu, the leader of the Liberal Party that was excluded from the coalition, said as a reaction to the Communists’ participation that ”the Parliament of Moldova should take a break of 4 years instead of 40 minutes”.<\/p>\n

There has been reported already critics from the European partners, that recommended<\/a> to form a purely Pro-European coalition. The leader of ALME, Graham Watson, posted on Twitter<\/a> his concerning about the decision taken by the PLDM and PDM: ”Very bad news from Moldova. Prime Min Leanca and the Liberal Party sidelined by big business interests who prefer a deal with the Communists”, tweeted Sir Watson.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Moldovan political expert, Mihai Cernencu, said that the PLDM and the PDM assumed a big responsibility and they should know that there are big risks of failing the process of Governing. ”We have a PLDM-PDM majority that has the complementary support of the Communists. The Government and some power institutions will be shared for votes”, explained Cernencu for UNIMEDIA<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The next steps of the AEM and the Communists would be electing the Government, sharing the Ministries and making a precisely done program of governance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
