The first meeting of the new 20th Assembly of the Parliament of Republic of Moldova took place on Monday, 29 of December 2014.<\/p>\n

The agenda was really simple because the Pro-European parties haven’t agreed on the new program of governance for the next 4 years. The leader of Liberal-Democrat party, Vlad Filat, and the leader of the Democrat party, Dumitru Diacov, declared that the negotiations are not done, and they will probably announce the new majority in the middle of January of 2015.<\/p>\n

”We regret the fact that we didn’t form a new majority and the leadership of the Parliament”, declared Vlad Filat. He mentioned that the negotiations<\/a> will continue ”in order to form a stable Pro-European government for the next four years”.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Dumitru Diacov announced the deadline for forming the Pro-European majority and for electing the new Government- 13 of January 2015. Being asked about the European method of sharing the seats in the Government, Diacov said that he didn’t know anything about that. ”We are Moldovans and we need to form a Moldovan Government with an European strategy”, said Diacov.<\/p>\n

The leader of the Democrats said that the process of negotiations is being slowed by the Liberals, ”who need to be more constructive” and ”not demand too much”. ”Otherwise, the Liberals will formally be in opposition”, said Diacov.<\/p>\n

The Liberals didn’t make any statements in front of the press.<\/p>\n

The new Parliament was elected on 30 of November, when the Pro-European parties won 55 out of 101 seats, even if the Socialists’ Party won the elections by percentage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
