The University Foundation of the Black Sea conducted a study <\/a>on the topic of reunification between the two Romanian states: Romania and Republic of Moldova.<\/p>\n

It reveals that the reunification will bring an economic growth of 5% each year, that will allow Romania to go forward near Western states. A good example of economic wealth after reunion is Germany, whose economy escalated so quickly, that its GDP grew twice as much in the 1990-s.<\/p>\n

Beside the common history, language and culture, Romania and Republic of Moldova are linked by strong commercial ties. Romania is the biggest and the most important commercial partner of Moldova, with 921 million dollars of trade value in the first 9 months of this year, comparing Russia, whose trade value is worth 830 million dollars and is decreasing quickly in the context of embargo on food products.<\/p>\n

The Foundation stated that the gap between the two Romanian states will become deeper if measures are not taken immediately. This is proven by the ration between the GDPs per capita: Romania-10160 USD:Moldova-2175 USD=5:1. The price of being independent may be too big for Moldova, whose tends to improve its government and infrastructure by itself.<\/p>\n

Apparently, the reunion would bring a double economic growth in only 14 years like it did in Germany in 10 years, but also the Big Romania would need to invest more in public infrastructure. The cost of the whole process might cost 190 billion dollars, an entire GDP of Romania for a year.<\/p>\n

But in the meantime, the price can be decreased or, at least measured, by the following factors:<\/p>\n

-the amount of GDP of the bigger state(Romania);<\/p>\n

-the difference of economic performance that must to be covered(GDP per capita);<\/p>\n

The study says that the reunification is possible only in the following 20 years and the best moment for it is 2018, when both economies will be ready and able to pay 4 billion dollars each year during 20 years to develop the country\u00a0constantly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
