The European Investment Bank\u00a0opened on 27 of October an office at Chi\u0219in\u0103u. The new office has as goals the support of the business, the consolidation of the relations with the public and the private sectors and also the improvement of the relations with the supporters, with partner banks and with international financial institutions from Moldova.<\/p>\n

At the inauguration participated the Vice-President of EIB, William Molterer, the Prime-Minister of Moldova, Iurie Leanc\u0103, the chief of EU delegation, Pirkka Tapiola, and some ambassadors of the EU members and representatives of the Government.<\/p>\n

\u201eFrom all the countries of the Eastern Partnership, Moldova is the number one beneficiary of EIB loans in terms of per capita. There is excellent potential of consolidation of the assistance which we offer, because the country aspires to more profound economic integration with EU, as a result of the Free Trade Area. We want to seize this potential at maximum,\u201d said Molterer.<\/p>\n

Beginning from 2007, when it began its activity in Moldova, EIB signed 13 projects with a total sum of 586 millions Euros with the aim to develop the infrastructure of roads and water, the agriculture, the food industry and the small enterprises. A big part of the EIB \u00a0loans had been associated with European grants, given through the Neighborhood Investment Facility.<\/p>\n

The Prime-Minister, Iurie Leanc\u0103, declared: \u201eWe always put accent on the speed of realization of the development and implementing projects. It is important for our citizens to feel the results of the activity of EIB, that will make positive changes in the real life. I am sure that the opening of this office will make this process faster and will make transparent the activity of EIB in Moldova.\u201d<\/p>\n

The chief of EU delegation, Pirkka Tapiola, said: \u201eThe opening of the EIB office at Chi\u0219in\u0103u proves the promises made by EU to consolidate the cooperation with Republic of Moldova. Also, this will provide a better implementation of the EU initiatives in Moldova, supporting the improvement of life quality of the Moldovans.\u201d<\/p>\n

EIB is a bank owned by the 28 members of European Union. Between 2014-2020, it will give as loans 4,8 millions Euros for projects from the whole Europe, including the countries of the Eastern Partnership.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
