The Russian Agency for Food Safety Rosselhoznadzor announced that it will stop the import of meat of all sorts from Republic of Moldova beginning from 27 of October. This announcement was made by the deputy chief of this institution, Sergey Dankvert.<\/p>\n

The information was confirmed by sources from the Government from Chisinau, even if an official statement wasn’t sent by Rosselhoznadzor to Moldova authorities.<\/p>\n

The Russian official, quoted by the Russian press, declared that the decision is the result of recent inspections at Moldovan enterprises made by experts from Russia and Belarus. According to Dankvert, the processing factories doesn’t respect the conditions of quality because sometimes the processor bought meat from unknown sources.<\/p>\n

Dankvert said also that there were found ”shipments of meat form Moldova of an unknown origin”.<\/p>\n

In the first nine months of 2014, Moldova exported about 2800 tons of meat in Russia.<\/p>\n
