On Wednesday, 15 of October, Iurie Leanca, the Prime-Minister of Republic of Moldova and Joe Biden, the US Vice-President, discussed on phone several topics. These were about the elections from 30 of November, the bilateral relations and the regional situation.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Washington always helped Moldova through different programs for young students, specialists and professionals, to understand the democracy and to establish democracy in the state. We have also been helped by USA to solve economic, social and infrastructure problems through national projects, as bulding new roads and buying high-tech equipment for medical institutions”, said Leanca in the discussion with Biden, according to the press release of the Government.<\/span><\/p>\n

At this occasion, Leanca informed Biden that the road Sarateni-Soroca of 93 km has been finished as a result of the Compact Program and of the American contributions. The whole Program is worth about 262 million dollars, while the road costed 100 million dollars of them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking about the coming elections, the Prime-Minister declared that Moldova will keep its European plan for Integration because it is the only plan to build a democratic society and state.<\/p>\n

Leanca thanked United States for its substantial support in Moldova’s European path and in the process of implementing reforms.<\/span><\/p>\n

Biden encouraged Moldova’s Government to implement further the reforms and to keep European Union as a key partner. Also, Vice President explained his hope that Moldova will have fair elections and the values of democracy will win.<\/span><\/p>\n
