\u00a0Maggie Muth<\/span><\/a>, an artist from United States, is teaching art in Moldova.\u00a0She has the possibility of teaching in H\u00e2ncesti and Orhei, as well as in a mental health center in Chisinau.<\/span><\/p>\n

She is now trying to develop the process of learning art in towns and villages by making it affordable for every child and in order to do this, she started a social campaign.\u00a0<\/span>The mission is to collect at least $1000 to be used to purchase art supplies and related books, which she will use as a volunteer Art Teacher in Moldova, starting in November 2014.<\/p>\n

As a beginning of her project, Maggie organized an event in Portland to raise money for the campaign. Using paintings, prints, collages, textiles as forms of art, she managed to raise the needed awareness about her project. ”The event was very successful. I was happy that people responded well to my artwork, but more importantly, they contributed to ARTmoldova.”, said Maggie, hoping to succeed and to make more now.<\/p>\n

She will be posting more pictures, updates and information about how to donate on her Instagram\u00a0instagram.com\/ARTmoldova<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and on the blog of the project\u00a0ARTmoldova.tumblr.com<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n
