Ice Bucket Challenge campaign managed to gather donations worth 17,000 MDL and $700 for the Hospice Angelus, a foundation that applies and promotes the palliative care principles, caring for people with cancer.<\/p>\n

The foundation\u2019s members said the donations will be used in these purposes.<\/p>\n

Hospice Angelus fundraiser manager, Raluca M. Zetha, told Moldova.ORG that over 30 persons have made a donation so far. According to her, the biggest donation was worth 10,000 MDL, coming from an anonymous donor. $700 has been donated online.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast year we offered palliative services at home for 1,800 people,\u201d Ms. Jetha said. \u201cWe hope to have more financial resources this year in order to help more patients. We thank all those who got involved in this campaign and we are looking forward to receiving new donations.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ice Water Bucket Challenge became popular in Moldova as well after it sparked massive interest around the world. More people have accepted the challenge with the water bucket and donated money for Hospice Angelus Moldova.<\/p>\n
