There are currently over 1,500 Russian soldiers and thousands of tones of weapons deposited in the Transnistrian region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe reiterate the Moldovan authorities\u2019 stance on need to end withdrawal of Russian military troops, including the stocks of ammunition from Moldova, in accordance with Russia\u2019s international commitments and provisions of the Moldovan Constitution,\u201d the Moldovan side said.<\/p>\n<p>It added: \u201cWe reiterate the importance of turning the current peacekeeping mechanism into a civil multinational mission with international mandate. These positions are well-known and will be promoted further by Moldova within the current mechanisms for dialogue, by bringing the needed political, legal and factual arguments.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The relations between Moldova and Russia have deteriorated lately amid political association and economic integration of Moldova with the EU.
