Amid multiple economic embargoes imposed by Russia on Moldovan products, a delegation from Moldova\u2019s Economy Ministry and Foreign Ministry will travel to Moscow this week to discuss the \u201cunfriendly gesture\u201d of the Russian partners.<\/p>\n

Moldovan Foreign Minister Natalia Gherman said in an interview with RFE\/RL<\/strong><\/a> that the trade issues have to be discussed at expert level.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are in favor of promoting this dialogue under any conditions,\u201d Natalia Gherman said.<\/p>\n

According to her, the European Commission has announced on Monday that it has doubled the import quota for Moldovan agricultural products on the European market.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the EU will now import 80,000 tons of apples, instead of 40,000. A similar increase \u2013 from 10,000 to 20,000 tons \u2013 applies for grapes.<\/p>\n

\u201cEuropean Union undertakes some absolutely outstanding actions to show the Republic of Moldova who is the real partner, who helps during very complicated situations, and who is, in the end, interested to develop and enhance the Moldovan economy,\u201d Ms. Gherman stressed.<\/p>\n
