He worked for major newspapers in Romania as a photographer, and today he is represented by the London agency &#8211; Panos Pictures.<\/p>\n<p>His photographs have been published in National Geographic, Esquire, New York Times, Courrier International, The Times, Business Week, Paris Match, Financial Times.<\/p>\n<p>Among national and international awards during his activity are &#8211; Picture of the Year, awarded by the Romanian Press Club; Photographer of the Year, awarded by the Press Photographers Association; Award of Excellence for the Picture of the Year (USA); Humanity Award, Hpa \/ Unesco, China.<br \/>\nThe last long project www.theblacksea.eu is documenting visually the daily life of people around the Black Sea and the role that it plays in different communities.
