After the Association Agreement and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) will enter into force, citizens of Moldova will feel several changes in their lives. However, this will not happen overnight.
\nPeter Stano, spokesperson of \u0160tefan F\u00fcle, EU Commissioner in charge of Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy, told Moldova.ORG that changes will be seen \u201cyear after year.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCitizens will notice that prices are not increasing as quickly as before; that the goods they consume are o\"Peterf better quality and safer; that more and more jobs are created thanks to investment from domestic and foreign sources and their interest for the immense EU market; that the level of salaries and social payment will increase; and what counts most, that the police and the judges will act and work in their \u2013 the citizens’ \u2013 interest,\u201d Mr. Stano explained in a comment for Moldova.ORG.<\/p>\n

According to him, the Moldovans will see that the state institutions will no longer face widespread corruption.<\/p>\n

\u201cA stronger economy will make a stronger, more united society, and a more independent and reliable state. All will gain from these transformations,\u201d the spokesperson added.<\/p>\n

Referring to the DCFTA, Peter Stano said that all goods produced in Moldova that meet EU quality standards will be able to be sold without limit and under zero export tariffs in any EU country. \u201cApproximation towards the European Union, its rules and standards, will ensure that citizens share even greater benefits of better quality products and services,\u201d the spokesperson said. \u201cBut the Association Agreement is based on mutual commitments; by entering into Association, the EU also commits to helping Moldova with its implementation, with the necessary reforms.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite significant steps in the modernization of the country, Moldova still has to address several issues, such as reforming the judiciary system and public administration, as well as improving efficiency and transparency at all levels.<\/p>\n

In order to support these reforms and help to successfully implement the DCFTA, the EU will put in place a \u201cDCFTA Credit Line\u201d of up to 1 billion Euro.<\/p>\n
