Young people from 6 countries from different corners of Europe took part in the exchange program \u201e(Y)our DiverCity\u201d that has been held in Moldova for 10 days. This program is part of Youth in Action project funded by European Union, so the travel and the accommodation fees were reimbursed in proportion of 70%. Its goal was to reveal the heritage of each country and to mix cultures without discrimination or exclusion.<\/p>\n

Of course, the language of communication was English because it was the point where every culture could be understandable and accessible.<\/p>\n

The Moldovan team, composed from 2 facilitators and 6 participants, was the hostess for 30 young people coming from Portugal, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Cyprus, so the Moldovans took the initiative and kept a cool atmosphere during all activities and the whole program.<\/p>\n

Speaking of activities, there were a lot of them, such as: Ice-Breaking, workshops on equality, inclusion, etc., Country presentations, presentations about Erasmus Plus and YouthPass, etc.<\/p>\n

But the most interesting and adventurous ones when they discovered \u00a0Orheiul Vechi and Saharna, sights of historical and natural heritage, and the Cityquest in Chi\u0219in\u0103u. In Chi\u0219in\u0103u, youngsters were given the tasks to discover who was \u0218tefan cel Mare, to eat Moldovan Pl\u0103cinte, to wear national clothes, to make photos with as many as possible Moldovans and to sing \u201eTrandafir de la Moldova\u201d in a trolleybus. Also, they had the opportunity to visit the Parliament of Moldova to discuss with two MPs and to visit a Moldovan TV channel PublikaTv to see the process of making news.<\/p>\n

At the end, each team had to make a video about diversity in their own country and about things that unite all the people around the world.<\/p>\n\n

All of these activities being done and supported with success by Moldovan team had been enjoyed by foreigners and that is why they said they liked Moldova a lot, except the roads, of course.<\/p>\n
