Moldovan Investment and Export Promotion Organization (MIEPO) is set to organize the largest business event of 2014, called \u201cMoldova Business Week<\/a>.\u201d The event is scheduled for June 5-12.<\/p>\n

The Government aims to promote the export potential of the country and attract new foreign investment. The week will end with the Moldova-EU International Investors\u2019 Conference, which will be attended by prominent European leaders. Among them is the European Commission President Jos\u00e9 Manuel Barroso.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe European Union has confirmed its objective to further strengthen the political association and economic integration with [Moldova], and aims to sign the Association Agreement including Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (AA\/DCFTA) at the end of June 2014,\u201d reads a press release of the EU\u2019s External Action department.<\/p>\n

According to the same information piece, the main benefit of the conference to investors in Moldova is to discuss and understand the meaning of the AA\/DCFTA in practical terms.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe conferences will also provide opportunities for businesses to showcase themselves and to promote their products and services. International financial institutions and business support organizations will also provide participants with information about their activities in Moldova,\u201d the same press release said.<\/p>\n
