The next round of \u201c5+2\u201d talks will be organized on June 5-6, 2014 in Vienna, Austria. This will be the second round held this year after the previous one, scheduled for April 10-11, was postponed.<\/p>\n

Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the Transnistrian Settlement Process Radojko Bogojevi\u0107 said that these meetings will contribute to decreasing tensions in the region.<\/p>\n

\u201cI trust that all the participants of the upcoming talks in Vienna will show a constructive approach on conflict settlement,\u201d Mr. Bogojevi\u0107 said at the end of his visit to Moldova and its separatist region on Wednesday. \u201cI am convinced that the holding of these talks will send a positive signal and contribute to decreasing tensions in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n

The OSCE official also discussed the structure of the Conference on Confidence Building Measures in the Transnistrian Settlement Conflict. The event will take place on June 10-12 in Munich, Germany. It is a joint Conference organized by the OSCE Mission to Moldova and the German Government.<\/p>\n

The \u201c5+2\u201d talks bring together representatives of the sides, as well as of the mediators and observers \u2013 Moldova, Transnistria (as combatants), the OSCE, the Russian Federation, Ukraine (as mediators), the US and the EU (as observers).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
