The President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso said in Brussels on Thursday that the \u201cAssociation Agreement is the not the final goal\u201d of the relations between the EU and Moldova.<\/p>\n

\u201cI firmly believe in the European perspective of your country,\u201d Mr. Barroso told Moldovan Prime Minister Iurie Leanca.<\/p>\n

The European Union has invited Moldova to sign the Association Agreement on June 27, 2014. The accord was initialed at the Vilnius Summit in November last year.<\/p>\n

Mr. Barroso emphasized that this economic and political agreement is not the \u201cfinal goal\u201d in their relations.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Leanca said his government is committed to deliver on reforms by fulfilling the objectives stated in the Association Agreement.<\/p>\n
