Despite of an entire euphoria among the population, a lot of questions remain unanswered, people lacking important information about conditions of travel.<\/p>\n<p>Moldova.ORG has requested more information on this matter from the Delegation of EU in Moldova.<\/p>\n<p>The first conditionality is to hold a biometric passport which should be valid for at least three months after the scheduled return. However, this is not the only requirement for visa-free travels.<\/p>\n<p>Competent border-crossing authorities might also ask for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay, such as accommodation, duration of stay and a proof of sufficient means of subsistence both for the duration of the intended stay and for the return.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou need to show your passport, and in addition, you might be asked also to show: flight tickets for further journeys and return tickets; evidence of sufficient means of subsistence; reservation of accommodation, invitation letter in case of visits, conferences; school enrollment certificate in case of study etc,\u201d said a paper drafted by European Commission and submitted to Moldova.ORG.<\/p>\n<p>Other conditions are: not to be a person for whom an alert has been issued in the Schengen Information System (SIS) for the purposes of refusing entry; not to be considered to be a threat to public policy, internal security, public health or the international relations of any of the Member States, in particular where no alert has been issued in Member States\u2019 national data bases for the purposes of refusing entry on the same grounds.<\/p>\n<p>Moldovan travelers will be able to stay up to 90 days within any 180-days period in the Schengen zone visa-free. The length of authorized stay in the Schengen area can be determined through the use of the &#8216;calculator&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Exceeding 90 days of stay in any Schengen member states (without a residence permit or long-stay visa), is considered a violation of law which can result in a re-entry ban to the Schengen area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWorking in the Schengen area without a work permit is also illegal (even if less than 90 days) and can likewise result in a re-entry ban to the Schengen area,\u201d the same document said.<\/p>\n<p>When entry is refused on the basis of the lack of the fulfillment of any of the above entry conditions (except bans based on illegal stays), the Moldovan traveler shall be issued with a substantiated written decision on a standard form, stating the precise reasons for the denial of entry. The completed form shall be handed over to the national concerned, who shall acknowledge receipt of the decision. It is important to note that persons refused entry have the right to appeal.<\/p>\n<p>The visa waiver is valid to travels to any EU Member States.
