Cristian Jereghi, a young director from Moldova, was injured in the center of Kiev, while filming a future documentary about the events on Euromaidan.<\/p>\n

The young man confessed for Moldova.ORG that a paralysing grenade exploded near to his feet. Fortunately, the injuries were not very serious, and Cirstian says he plans to return to shooting tomorrow in the morning.<\/p>\n

Cristian Jereghi says that he is involved in Babylon13 social project, together with other Ukrainian directors and operators. The materials will be used for documentaries that will be presented at international festivals.<\/p>\n

The director says that he is shooting almost non-stop. “I try to document everything that happens on Euromaidan, to present people who are fighting. I’m always on first line, nearby attacks and that’s why every wound is a matter of time. Sometimes, during the attack, I look into the eyes of those who defend themselves or those who attack, to live these moments together with them. As a director, so I present them”, confesses Cristian.<\/p>\n

“This time it was a very harsh attack, I was nearby the column on Maidan, the grenade rolled under my feet and I didn’t manage to react and basically stepped on it. The force of the explosion was strong enough and, besides, there were thrown many pieces of plastic and cardboard, which pushed by the explosion can cause serious damage to exposed parts of the body”, added Cristian.
\nAsked if he plans to stay in Kiev, Cristian Jereghi said that he loves very much Ukraine and he will remain there. After the latest events he respects Ukrainians even more.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
