Moldovan lawmakers met on Thursday in their first parliamentary session of the spring-summer term. Moreover, this is also the first session in the restored building of the Parliament which has been closed since 2009.<\/p>\n

Speaker of Parliament Igor Corman opened the session with a speech. Among the MPs attending the meeting, President Nicolae Timofti and Premier Iurie Leanca were also present, delivering speeches.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister severely criticized the Communist lawmakers, blaming them for leading the country in a wrong direction.<\/p>\n

\u201cPolitical forces which contest the benefits of the European integration are either evil-minded or focused too much on political confrontations which does not relate to the people\u2019s wish to have a better life,\u201d Mr. Leanca said from the tribune.<\/p>\n

However, Communist lawmakers replied to these accusations. The head of the Communist parliamentary faction Maria Postoico urged the pro-European colleagues to \u201cstop the theft and chauvinistic nationalism.\u201d
\n\u201c2013 was a sad year for Moldova, being characterized by the Royal Forest case [shooting incident involving high level officials), corruption and the shameful ousting of the Government. The same theft was continued with the Central Bank, the airport and others, being covered by the frenzy caused by the Vilnius Summit,\u201d Ms. Postoico said.<\/p>\n
