Moldovan peacekeepers which will be deployed in Kosovo are prepared for their mission. According to Defense Minister Vitalie Marinuta, the peacekeepers have been equipped and trained in accordance with the requirements for the KFOR mission in Kosovo.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe contingent has been equipped according to the regulations of the mission deployed in Kosovo, which are compatible with those of the Italian partners,\u201d Mr. Marinuta said. \u201cMoreover, the Ministry of Defense has additionally acquired goods worth over 155,000 lei.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lieutenant-colonel Roman Ceban said that all troops have been trained and tested based on the procedures and regulations of the international peacekeeping missions.<\/p>\n

Republic of Moldova will deploy 41 soldiers in the KFOR peacekeeping mission. The decision was approved on November 1, 2013 by the Moldovan Parliament.<\/p>\n
