Sergey Stepanov, a Sunstroke Project member,\u00a0 named Epic Sax Guy on Internet, became known through the Eurovision Song Contest in Norway 2010, Representing Moldova.<\/p>\n

Epic Sax Guy fever started in Europe, creating a new Moldovan phenomenon. His fan pages and groups on Facebook gathered over 10 000 members in less than a week. The fever hit YouTube where his loop has 45, 50 and even 190 thousand views. There even are sites where the melody is played over and over again. The page managed to get over 83 thousand hits.<\/p>\n

Talking about Eurovision saxophonist Sergei Stepanov noted that European song contest depends largely on the political nuances. “It’s hard to get on in the leaders, because Moldova has a weak position in the political arena. Do not forget about the journalists who make ratings of artists. Reporters are being distributed in their country assessment of parties that holds each member country of the competition. This is more and affects the occupied space in the competition, ”<\/p>\n

He noticed that an important role towards the prize is offered by arrangement.\u00a0 “The statement given 3 minutes, we will watch and listen to 190 million. During these 3 minutes, we have something to remember – and there are shows, but the important thing is the melody that is memorable from the first listen and then you can easily hum” – explained Stepanov. Well, his singing impressed us for sure.<\/p>\n

Sunstroke Project is a Moldovan europop band. Olia Tira is a German born Moldovan pop singer. Together they represented Moldova in the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest with \u201cRun Away\u201d.<\/p>\n

At this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, Moldova took 22-nd place from a total of 25 countries. It seems only Epic Sax Guy came home as a winner<\/p>\n
