The management board of the GSM company Voxtel has given green light to an additional investment programme valued at one million dollars, which will be implemented to extend the network and to improve the quality of services, Voxtel manager-general Francis Gelibter told a news conference on Tuesday. <\/p>\n

He said that Voxtel will invest 23 million dollars this year, compared with the planned 22 million dollars. Overall, Voxtel’s investments in Moldova will account for over 100 million dollars by late 2005. <\/p>\n

At present, Voxtel covers more than 85 percent of Moldova’s population and 76 percent of territory. It plans to cover 90 percent of population and 80 percent of territory by late 2005. <\/p>\n

The number of Voxtel clients rose by 90,000 subscribers this year up to 542,000 clients, including 458,000 subscribers to the Tempo package. <\/p>\n
