With a 5 million Euro loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the company builds a new factory that is near some major customers, such as Draexlmaier Automotive and Unger Steel located at the Free Economic Zone of B\u0103l\u021bi, Moldova&rsquo;s second largest city.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The new plant costs 18 million Euro, but the EBRD will pay 5 million Euro for this project.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Gebauer &amp; Griller produces cables and wires, mainly for the automotive industry. The company is headquartered in Austria, with branches in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the United States, Mexico, India and Moldova.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Their production in B\u0103l\u021bi started recently and will reach its full capacity by September 2014 once the new plant will be entirely operational.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Bruno Balvanera, the EBRD&rsquo;s Director for Caucasus, Moldova and Belarus, said he is proud of this deal because it is their first investment in the automotive sector of Moldova.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&ldquo;This is the EBRD&rsquo;s first investment in Moldova&rsquo;s automotive sector, which will help bring know-how, innovation and an important boost for Moldova&rsquo;s limited manufacturing industry, Bruno Balvanera said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&ldquo;It also helps the country attract much-needed foreign investment that will generate jobs and foster competition. In addition, the investment goes beyond Chisinau, the capital city, encouraging growth in less developed zones.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">According to EBRD, Gebauer &amp; Griller will benefit from lower production and delivery costs because it is located very close to its needed partners.
