Austrian owned company “Raiffeisen” is likely to expand its banking services in Moldova. However, this will only happen if current Austrian investments in the country are being protected by the Moldovan authorities and no hindrances in their activity is being registered.<\/p>\n

The statement was made by the Moldovan Ambassador to Vienna, Andrei Popov in an interview with Moldova.ORG.<\/p>\n

According to him, the bank’s administration is following the situation and development of the existent Austrian investments in Moldova. Depending on the progress, “Raiffeisen” will take a decision about its services here.<\/p>\n

“Raiffeisen” is already present on the Moldovan market since the end of 2007 being the first company of “Raiffeisen Group” to provide financial services in Moldova, namely in the leasing sector.<\/p>\n

The largest Austrian investment in Moldova is worth 30 million Euro and belongs to “Gebauer & Griller” Company. This is a manufacturer of cables and wires for the automotive industry.
