International Monetary Fund’s Mission to Moldova states an evolution of the main macroeconomic indicators. According to the IMF experts team, led by Max Alier , this fact shows the correctness of actions.<\/p>\n

The issue was discussed today during a meeting between the International Monetary Fund representatives and the Prime Minister Iurie Leanca . The meeting was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy, Valeriu Lazar, the Finance Minister, Anatol Arapu and the Governor of the National Bank, Dorin Dragutanu.<\/p>\n

Max Alier referred to the importance of further promoting structural reforms to ensure sustainable economic and budgetary balance for the next period. The official pointed out some recommendations of the IMF mission in this regard, stating that more attention should be paid to risk management and transparency in the financial sector.<\/p>\n

IMF representative also said that the Joint Assessment by the IMF and the World Bank has noted that the National Development Strategy "Moldova 2020" aims relevant targets, including improving the business environment , infrastructure and human capital. The official confirmed the willingness of the institution he represents to support Moldova in implementing the Strategy.<\/p>\n

Moldovan Premier thanked the International Monetary Fund and, in particular members of the current mission for the support and expertise provided. The Prime Minister stressed that the Government takes into account the results of IMF assessments of national economic policy.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister also said that the Government will make every effort to develop relations with the IMF and other international bodies, and is aware of their importance for achieving economic development of Moldova and the welfare of the people.
