However, due to a strong competitiveness on the European market, the businesses with a weak capability to survive such a phenomenon are likely to face some challenges, says Moldovan Minister of Economy, Valeriu Lazar.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Being part of a very dynamic and competitive region, we also have to become competitive in everything we do &ndash; in business quality, public services quality, attracting investments etc,&rdquo; Mr. Lazar stressed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">According to him, the signature of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area Agreement with the EU will generate significant opportunities for Moldovan businesses. However, in order to benefit from these open opportunities there is a need for &ldquo;a pro-active development of the domestic reforms &ndash; legislation and institutional change and the insertion of some successful practices.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Therefore, the Government drafted a report which includes over 300 European directives that have to be implemented in order to prepare the businesses for the European competitive market. The Economy Ministry announced to establish a Competitiveness Committee that will represent both the business sector and the public authorities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">There are currently several important economic developments going on in Moldova. In 2012, the Free Trade Agreement with the CIS countries was enforced. This represents Moldova&rsquo;s 40% of external trade.
