The European Union will give to the Republic of Moldova 90 million euro to support reforms in the justice sector and the implementation of bilateral agreements. The news was announced today during a joint press conference of the Moldovan Premier Iurie Leanca and the European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule.<\/p>\n

The officials signed two documents, namely the Financing Agreement on Budget Support Program in Justice and the Support Program for implementation of current and new agreements between the EU and Moldova.<\/p>\n

The agreement provides for the allocation of 60 million euro to support the reform strategy in Moldova’s justice system and the provision of 30 million euro for the preparation, negotiation and implementation of new agreements between the EU and Moldova, such as the Association Agreement, including the Agreement on creation of deep and comprehensive free trade area, as well as Moldova’s participation in the 12th European Framework Program.
