The conference is part of the national business program of the exhibition &quot;Made in Moldova 2013&quot;, which is held from 30th January to 2nd February at Moldexpo.<\/p>\n<p>The event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar, the Head of EU Delegation in Moldova, Dirk Schuebel, the President of Chamber of Commerce and industry, Gheorghe Cucu, over 50 representatives of the business community of Romania, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and more than 100 local entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<p>During the conference, representatives of public authorities, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova, European institutions and other business support organizations, as well as financing institutions, European and local companies, discussed about the investment climate in the country and the possibilities to increase the foreign direct investment potential.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, seven core sectors were presented and promoted at the conference: the agro-food industry, the information technology and telecommunications, renewable energy, sustainable construction, textiles, transport and logistics and tourism. Thus, firms in these sectors presented their investment projects, participating in bilateral talks with European partners on business cooperation.<br \/>\nFurther, conference guests will visit some free economic areas and industrial parks.
