Republic of Moldova wants Russian Federation to sign separate natural gas supply contracts for Chisinau and Tiraspol. It is possible the proposal to be accepted by Moscow. At the same time, debt division is desired, according to the principle “the one who consumed to pay”. The Minister of Economy, Valeriu Lazar spoke about Government’s demands at the radio station "Europa Libera".<\/span><\/p>\n

"Chisinau’s proposals target Moldova’s insurance scheme for the future. This would mean to separate gas supply for the left and right bank of Moldova. Therefore, the consumers from the Transnistrian region and those from the right bank to have not only separate accounts, but also separate contracts", Valeriu Lazar specified.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Minister added that he set Russian colleagues at ease, because they were waiting for an official response from Brussels on postponing the deadline for implementation of the Energy Packages II and III. "Yesterday, on 5th<\/sup> December, the internal procedure was completed, and I have already the opportunity to send Mr. Rogozin, as I promised, the papers with the stamp of the European Union that, in fact, the procedure is completed. We have European Commission’s decision. They wanted it, now we look for the original", Mr. Lazar added.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Minister stressed that the price for gas supply will not increase and said that Moldova might get cheaper gas in 2013. "The highest price will be in the first quarter of 2013, 386 dollars. And then, for the fourth quarter of 2013 we can reach the price of 320-330 dollars per thousand cubic meters”, Valeriu Lazar added for Radio "Europa Libera".<\/span><\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
