Poland is among the top 10 countries to have commercial operations with the Republic of Moldova. Among the EU countries, Poland is the largest importer of Moldovan wines. It was announced by Moldovan President, Nicolae Timofti at the Moldovan-Polish Business Forum.<\/span><\/p>\n

"We appreciate this interest in our wines, given that in recent years, for known reasons, we had to reorient our wine exports to markets other than the traditional ones", Nicolae Timofti stated.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, Nicolae Timofti mentioned that "Moldova and Poland has a long tradition of economic cooperation and this should give us confidence that we can succeed. We know each other for centuries and I would like to mention here about the first trade agreement signed between Moldova and Kingdom of Poland in 1408, offering to merchants of Lvov privileges of trade and transit from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea", the President emphasized.<\/span><\/p>\n
