The labor force in Moldova has decreased in the third quarter of 2012, the National Bureau of Statistics informed. Over 1286.9 thousand people are economically active, the number going down by 4.5% compared to the same period in 2011.<\/p>\n

The source reports that the unemployment rate dropped from 5.3% to 4.8% in a year. International Labor Office says that this year there are 62.2 thousand jobless people less compared to the year before.<\/p>\n

According to the statistics, the men are among most affected by unemployment. Roughly 62% out of the whole number of jobless people in Moldova are men.<\/p>\n

The numbers are not entirely accurate since the National Bureau of Statistics cannot gather exhaustive and precise information on the labor situation in the country. Many people are not legally employed or they are not registered with the official authorities as being jobless or having a contract.<\/p>\n
