Russian President’s special representative for the Transnistrian region, Deputy Prime Minister, Dmitry Rogozin believes that the Third Energy Package will have more negative than positive results. Being with official visit to Chisinau, Rogozin declared that EU energy packages would not be profitable and reminded that the contract with Russia on gas delivery expires soon.<\/p>\n

“We consulted with international law companies and they told us that the conditions that are for Moldova do not guarantee the possibility to fulfill the agreement with Gazprom. We believe these energy packages are not profitable, but you think they are. This is the purpose of our discussion. My concern is that the rapid implementation of energy packages will harm more than it will help”, Rogozin said at a press conference.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is to note that in October, the Prime Minister Vlad Filat asked European authorities to allow Moldova to postpone the implementation of Energy Package II and III.
