Those owning a car registered outside of Moldova have to pay a toll while entering the country as of November 1. The payment can be done at the checkpoints and inner customs.<\/p>\n

The new regulation affects the Moldovan emigrants the most. Everyone with a car registered abroad is required to pay 2 Euro for one-week-long stay in Moldova. For 15 days of stay, the drivers have to pay 4 Euro, while one month costs 7 Euro.<\/p>\n

Drivers who want to stay up to 3 months in Moldova will have to pay a toll fee of 15 Euro. 180 days of stay cost 25 Euro.
\nMoldovans residing in the separatist region of Transnistria, who have cars registered there, will also be asked to pay the toll.<\/p>\n

Failing to comply with the rules or overstaying in Moldova as previously planned, might be penalized with fines up to 250 Euro.<\/p>\n

These are the new costs issued by the Parliament after the Moldovan Diasporas put pressure on their Legislative to change the previous draft law which implied higher tolls. The former regulation asked 65 Euro for a month of stay, whilst a year of driving on the Moldovan roads was supposed to cost 380 Euro.<\/p>\n
