Moldovan first deputy speaker Vlad Plahotniuc, who is also one of the richest men in Moldova, might be prosecuted in Great Britain. The lawyer Patric Boylan said that he will be put on trial if a London-based court will discover that he has been involved in the transfer of frozen-under-court-order shares of “Tomdal Ltd,” Business New Europe reports.<\/p>\n

The lawyer explained that the shares could have been transferred to a Russian business. As the source has learnt, Plahotniuc is now the economic owner of the company.<\/p>\n

The Moldovan deputy has already tried to use his diplomatic immunity in the Cyprus court case when he was involved in a similar situation.<\/p>\n

“The claim was laughable, and the Cypriot court ruled that under international law he would not enjoy sovereign immunity,” said lawyer Boylan.<\/p>\n
