Turkey is Moldova’s ninth economic partner considering the number of investments which raise up to $22 million. Moldova exported products of some $367 million to Turkey, the country being the sixth among Moldova’s top exporters.<\/p>\n

“Such numbers prove that Turkey ranks an important place in Moldova’s trade area and shows that we are good partners,” said the Head of the Business Partners Association of Turkey and Moldova Abdurrahman Sezis.<\/p>\n

Moldova and Turkey are planning on signing a partnership to free the visa regime between countries. As the Turkish Ambassador previously said, his country might lift visa requirements for Moldovans as from 2013. Another project is designed to liberalize the air traffic. The agreements will further ease the economic relationship between the two countries.<\/p>\n

“These agreements will provide the necessary framework for bolstering the investment and trade between our countries,” Moldovan Premier Vlad Filat said.<\/p>\n

The Turkish side said at a joint Turkish-Moldovan forum in Chisinau that the relations have to be beneficial for both sides.
\n“We should acknowledge that the bilateral relations should be mutually convenient and we should create joint corporations,” the Turkish Ambassador to Moldova Selim Kartal said.
