The United States of America provides $11.5 million additional funding to Moldova within three bilateral agreements. The documents were signed on Friday between U.S. Ambassador to Chisinau William Moser and Moldovan Premier Vlad Filat, Infotag news agency reports.<\/p>\n

The funding is designed to create jobs and increase exports, build the capacity of local authorities to provide improved public services, as well as strengthen judicial institutions to provide efficient justice.<\/p>\n

According to Infotag, the first agreement implies an increase of the U.S. assistance by $6.28 million to reach $26.7 million.<\/p>\n

The contract related to building up the capacity of local authorities to provide improved public services will increase funding by $3 million – up to $8.5 million.<\/p>\n

The other agreement concerning the bolstering of the judicial institutions provides an increase in financing by $2.17 million in order to reach US$4.7 million.<\/p>\n
