The unemployment rate in Moldova has decreased to 4.5% for the second trimester of 2012. According to the National Bureau for Statistics, about 57,600 people were unemployed during this period. The number is declining with 25,000 in comparison to the same period in 2011.<\/p>\n

The men were the most affected by unemployment. Over 61% of men from the total amount were jobless. The youth unemployment rate, aged 15-24, was 11.2%. Within the 15-29 age framework, the index number showed 7.5% of people are unemployed.<\/p>\n

The first trimester of 2012 registered an unemployment rate of 7.2%. The jobless rate for 2011 was 6.7%.
